Accommodation Options
Underwing Camping
Underwing camping at Fly’n For Fun 2026 in Parkes offers pilots a unique opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the event’s vibrant aviation community. Following the successful setup in 2024, where the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) facilitated a dedicated camping area behind their main hangars, the 2026 event is expected to provide similar accommodations. This arrangement allows pilots to park their aircraft and set up camp directly beneath their wings, fostering a communal atmosphere where aviators can share stories and experiences around the campfire. The camping area is situated off the airside, reducing the need for Aviation Security Identification Cards (ASIC) and making access more convenient for attendees. Further details, including the event schedule and site map, will be provided closer to the event date.
General Camping and Caravans
Fly’n For Fun also offers general camping and caravan sites, giving attendees the opportunity to stay immersed in the aviation atmosphere overnight. With toilet and shower facilities available, you can camp onsite amongst the aircraft and truly make it a full Fly’n For Fun experience.
Local Accommodation
The town offers a diverse range of accommodation options to suit all preferences and budgets. With approximately 1,500 bed spaces available, visitors can choose from motels, hotels, bed and breakfasts, serviced apartments, and caravan parks. Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly motel, a cozy B&B, or a convenient caravan site, Parkes has something to offer. It’s advisable to book your accommodation early, as availability may become limited closer to the event date. For a comprehensive list of options and to make reservations, visit the official Parkes tourism website.
